The Real Reason I Don't Sell Bukhoor (Yet)

The Real Reason I Don't Sell Bukhoor (Yet)

This is the real reason why I don't sell bukhoor... and why I don't follow trends either.

I know - it sounds odd. A brand that makes bukhoor burners, but doesn't sell any bukhoor.

From the very beginning, I never wanted to rush into it. MINKO was always about more than just "completing the set".

It's about creating pieces that hold space - that honour tradition, but feel calm, modern, and deeply personal.

And when I do offer incense - because yes, that day will come, In sha' Allah - it will be because it means something. Not because it was convenient. Not because I felt pressured to tick a box.

I'm still searching for the right source, the right blend... something that aligns with the heart of this brand.

Why I Don't Follow Trends

That choice reflects something bigger.

I don't follow trends. I don't change colours every season. I don't chase what's viral or new on the market.

Because I believe in pieces that outlive a trend.

My shapes, my colours, my textures... they're not designed/ chosen to impress TikTok. They're designed to bring peace to real homes - yours and mine.

You won't find loud, shiny, gold-on-gold, extravagant burners here. And you won't see new drops every week.

Because this work is slow. It's thoughtful. It's rooted.

Timeless Over Trending

I believe - truly - that your home deserves more than hype. It deserves something timeless.

I used to wonder if not following trends would make my work invisible. But over the past few months, I've seen the opposite happen.

The woman who find MINKO - they're not loking for what's trending. They're looking for what feels like home.

They're not chasing seasons. They're chasing stillness.

And that's exactly who I make for.

Taking Time with Intention

So no, I don't rush to release what's popular. I take my time. I listen.

And when I bring you incense... you'll know it was worth the wait.

Because trends pass - but the feeling something brings to your space... that stays.
