I Wish More People Knew This About Handmade Decor
I wish more people knew that handmade doesn't mean perfect - it means personal.
When I started MINKO, I wasn't trying to follow a trend or compete with big home decor brands. I simply wanted to make pieces that felt slow, thoughtful, and rooted in culture.
But sometimes, small business owners are held to impossible standards - expected to deliver Amazon-level speed, or Etsy prices from 2010. But what I do is slow. And intentional.
Every piece I create goes through a detailed process. From mixing and pouring the mineral stone, to hand-sanding, sealing, curing and finishing - it takes time, effort, and care. These are not factory-made pieces. They're created by hand - for women who want something meaningful in their home.
And the tiny differences? In colour, in texture, in shape? That's not a flaw - that's part of the charm. That's what makes each piece yours.
I also wish more people knew how hard it is to find burners that feel modern and elegant. When I was looking for one myself, everything I found was either too bulky, too flashy, too gold, or too loud - and usually came with a heavy price tag. Nothing felt like it belonged in my home.
I wanted something that felt soft. Neutral. Quiet. Something rooted in tradition - but still modern. And that's what led me to make my very first burner.
Because I knew... I couldn't be the only one.
You won't find flashy colours or over-the-top designs at MINKO. And that's on purpose.
This is a space for quiet beauty. For women who carry so much - and crave softness.
MINKO is for the woman who wants her home to feel like her. Grounded. Intentional. Rooted in tradition, but still her own. A space with meaning - not just decor.
Because in the end, this isn't about filling shelves. It's about filling your space with your story.
And I hope you feel that in every single piece.
